Well Made Cap for Vent Hood Had to install through a brick veneer wall. Very pleased with results. Since I also purchased a Broan vent hood, no compatibility issues. Much better than the caps available at the local hardware and home improvement stores. April 25, 2011

Bird Screen problem The Bird Screen is just placed in the opening and is not fastened. Additionally, the Backdraft Damper didn't close well. I was able to trim the gasket for a better fit, but there are small openings at the sides and bottom of the damper. While the unit is rugged and I am using it, these two issues are disappointing. quality item quality product and fast shipping December 23, 2010

The Best I looked all over for a decent 6" vent hood and could only find the cheap plastic one that are carried by the regular hardware stores. Why do they only carry the junk when great units like this one are available? This is a well built hood that was easy to install and should last for many years. Excellent Wall Cap For just a few dollars more than the tinny aluminum wall cap at my local builders supply, this wall cap is MUCH better quality. This is going on my house, and I didn't want a tinny piece of junk that will be banging every time the wind blows. This well-designed piece features a spring closure, but gentle enough to open when the blower is on. Even better, it has a soft foam rubber gasket so that it closes quietly and doesn't rattle. All that and made in the USA: what's not to like? Why would anyone waste their time with a lesser wall cap? For the small price difference, there is no excuse. Venting Direct had it here in a week, surface shipping: very happy with the service! You can bet I'll shop there again next time. June 14, 2010

Good quality I tried a cheap home depot vent with the gravity damper. It looked bad and the damper flapped in the wind. This vent looks great and the spring loaded damper works great. Highly recommend February 11, 2010
