My previous Broan hood, though very satisfactory, had poor retension of filters. The needed to be shimmed. Has this been corrected?

A. Older models had plastics springs that have gone to metal since 2001. These models have a kit that can retro fit. They no longer need to be shimmed.

What are the model numbers for the clean sense filters? How many filters does this range hood require?

A. The Broan QS230 requires the Broan S99010308 2 filter set for non-ducted use. It uses both filters.
