A. Sones is how loud your fan is, 1 sones is relevant to a refrigerator running, 4 sones is relevant to a normal human conversation at 1 meter. CFM is cubic feet per minute, which is how much air moves through in a minute. You typically want the CFM 1/3-1/2 the cubic feet of a room. The Broan QTXE110 has a ultra low sone rating.
