"The glass light cover is very difficult to install correctly. Unless installed correctly, the cover will chafe against the fan collar making a very annoying glass to metal scraping noise.

Halogen bulbs use lots of energy. The non-standard base makes it very difficult to use anything else unless you are handy with a soldering iron."
