Doesn't age well Pro: Convenient unit as it has lite, nite-lite, fan and heater, reasonably quiet. Con: Really expensive, Recommended light wattage is too high (yet not a lot of light given off). Plastic grille, gets hot- brittle & breaks. Mine lasted about 3 years. Cost for a new grille - $160-180 September 7, 2011

Excellent Purchase! The NuTone QTXN110HL is all I hoped it would be. It's part of a 86 sq ft bath remodel and seems to move the air just fine. I like the squirrel cage fan design and 6 inch ducting. It all helps keep the unit very quiet for a bath fan. The most unexpected surprise was how well the heater feature works. You can almost dry your hair simply standing under it! The night lite is a nice feature too... The unit seemed a little pricey, but so far it proves you get what you pay for. All in all, an excellent purchase! July 19, 2011

Great Product This is a great combo fan, very simple install procedure, I had to cut through a double ceiling, other than that I've installed several vents/fans in my career, but this was a very straight forward install. Wiring directions were easy enough to understand that the average homeowner could do it with no problems. I used the Nutone 77D switch, the directions with the switch are wrong, stick with the directions with the fan and everything will work just fine. The vent is unreal on how strong it is and the heater is just AWESOME on how fast it heats our bathroom up, great product. January 30, 2011

The fan works wonderful! The heater is great and it workds wonderfully! The bathroom heats up very quickly and the exhaust fan works well to take out moisture after showering. I definitely would recommend this fan/heater/light to anyone who wants the combination for it works terrific! December 14, 2010

Best purchase we made! Our old fan/heater/light was so noisy!! This fan/heater/light is unbelievably quiet, it heats quickly, and the light is perfect for the area remodeled. My husband was impressed the first time he turned it on, and he is not easy to impress!! August 28, 2010

Great Product I bought this unit to replace an existing fan/light unit. The installation was quite simple because I had access to the space above the bathroom and was able to run the wiring from the fuse panel to the unit and wall switch. I have a 10x12x9' bathroom. The unit can heat this room very quickly. The fan is very quiet,the light and night light are great features. I am very pleased with this unit . The only problem I came across with the installation is if you use the Nutone 77D multi switch,don't use the wiring diagram that comes with the switch(it is wrong) use the wiring diagram that comes with the unit and everything will work ok. A great investment!!! November 16, 2009

Toasty Bathroom No more foggy walls or mirrors! Just flip heater switch and the bathroom is warm in less than 5 minutes. No need to heat up the entire floor of the house just to take a shower. Also, the fan is about as quiet as anything I have heard. Totally satisfied... November 16, 2009

Professional Installation only This vent fan requires a dedicated 20 AMP circuit and should only be installed by a professional licensed electrician. Unlike most bathroom vents this fan requires a 6" duct instead of the normal 4" flexible duct. February 11, 2009

Does the exhaust fan work independently from heater?

A. The fan functions can be wired independently of one another on the NuTone QTXN110HL, and the specification sheet has a wiring diagram that illustrates how to do this. The best option is a four-function wall control, so all functions can be controlled separately with one controller.

Can we mount this over a shower?

A. The NuTone QTXN110HL cannot be mounted over a tub or shower. It is only listed for damp locations not wet locations (such as over a shower).

Can you replace a QT9093 with this QTX110HL

A. The NuTone QTXN110HL will have the same wiring. The two units do require different sizes for the housing. You can use this as a replacement as long your installation can be made for the larger housing.

Can I reduce the 6" exhaust to 4" exhaust?

A. The NuTone QTXN110HL is not recommended to reduce the exhaust for any reason. Reducing the exhaust will limit the output the product can achieve.

Is there a thermostat to activate the fan if the lights get too hot?

A. The NuTone QTXN110HL functions are separately controlled. This cannot be used with a thermostat. It would just be wired to a standard 4 function wall switch. The part numbers are 77DV or 77DW.
