Overview

Thermostats are a simple, yet essential part of any HVAC system. They successfully enable us to control and maintain a comfortable environment. Granted, the basic application hasn't really changed over the years, but modern technology has given them a much needed facelift. We've highlighted the basic types of thermostats bellow:

• Programmable options enable you to set the desired temperature, time, and/or dates for your HVAC system to turn on (maximizing energy usage).

• Non-programmable options require manual interaction any time you want to utilize your HVAC system.

• Mechanical thermostats offer similar functionality to the above two options, but at a much more affordable price.
