Product Details for the Zephyr AK6500

Modern, clean lines provide a perfect complement to any interior, while centrifugal blowers liquefy cooking residue without complex filters to make cleaning a snap. Available in stainless, white, bisque and black, Cyclone's three sizes and three ducting options.

  • The Zephyr AK6500 can be ducted three different ways. This can be ducted vertically with 6" round ducting, vertically with 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular ducting, or horizontally out the back with 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular ducting (rear ducting). This item cannot be ducted out the sides of the hood. You do not need to purchase any additional items for the hood to duct in any of these three different ways.

We have no vertical clearance. Will this still work in my home?

A. The Zephyr AK6500 can be ducted three different ways. This can be ducted vertically with 6" round ducting, vertically with 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular ducting, or horizontally out the back with 3-1/4" x 10" rectangular ducting (rear ducting). This item cannot be ducted out the sides of the hood. You do not need to purchase any additional items for the hood to duct in any of these three different ways. You just need the hood and then the ducting materials, for example, the piping.

How is this model comparing to the AK2500 Zephyr? As far as noise and technology, filters...???I used the compare method on the site already, but still very limited info.

A. The Zephyr AK6500 has 5 sones, while the Zephyr AK2500 has 5.5 sones. This is at maximum power. The AK6500 uses incandescent light bulbs and the AK2500 uses halogen light bulbs. AK6500 has about 45 cfm less than the AK2500. Filters will be similar.
