CFM For Skylights

Skylights fill a room with natural light and fresh air for a more beautiful and spacious experience. Daylight transforms conventional rooms into gorgeous displays to invigorate and add value to your home.

Unlike each of the previous ventilation applications, a skylight’s CFM rating is measured in terms of air leakage. And, depending on the time of year, this can directly lead to heat gain or loss. This is expressed in units of cubic feet per minute per square foot of frame area (cfm/ft2). So, the lower the air leakage rating, the tighter the skylight framing is.
